Faculties within the Lansing faculty district went into lockdown Tuesday after a person escaped from jail.
The Kansas Division of Corrections stated Michael S. Strode, 43, left the Lansing Correctional Focus on 11:05 a.m.
The Lansing College District began it “Lock Out Protocol,” Meaning the buildings had been locked and nobody was allowed in or out.
College officers stated it was a precautionary measure and dismissed college students for the day as regular.
In line with Kansas Division of Corrections information, Stride was convicted of drug distribution in Rice County and was serving time in a minimal safety unit, KDOC stated.
He’s 5 ft, 10 inches tall and weighs 180 kilos. He has eyes, a shaved head and several other tattoos on his higher physique and arms.
