Lexington police are looking for a person who struck a police officer with a car Wednesday night time.

Lt. Joe Anderson of the Lexington Police Division mentioned officers have been serving a warrant on a lady on the Thornton fuel station on Elkhorn Street at about 9:15 p.m. In the course of the apprehension, his associate fled in a car and struck an officer.

The officer suffered minor accidents, Anderson mentioned.

Later within the night, police discovered the suspect’s car unoccupied close to Winchester Street and Man O’ Conflict Boulevard.

“The canine and the Air-One (helicopter) assisted within the search however he was not positioned,” Anderson mentioned. “We’re presently working to establish who he’s.”
