Sept. 1—A Gilesville man was charged with felony homicide in a suspected heroin overdose loss of life in a Cleveland resort room, in accordance with authorities.
Olafia Hester, 27, was charged with felony homicide in reference to the loss of life of Caitlin Baker, 23, of Cleveland, whose physique was found Aug. 19 by cleansing workers on the M Star Lodge.
The loss of life was suspected to be an overdose, and Cleveland police and the White County Coroner’s Workplace requested assist from the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Workplace.
Hester was arrested on Wednesday, August 31, and brought into custody in Gainesville with the assistance of the Corridor County Sheriff’s Workplace.
The Drug Enforcement Workplace stated the case is ongoing and extra fees are anticipated.
